How have SO many thousands of illegal, undocumented people arrived in our country and lived here, and worked here, some for almost a decade?
The ANC and Acting Police Minister Professor Firoz Cachalia who was a Law Professor at Wits University until July 2025 have made the continuation of protest marches into a ‘political’ matter. It is rather a necessity due to the total lack of government’s ability to administer the country in a professional and effective way that has created this terrible situation that civil society has needed to fix.
The head of the family and the mother of the family need to first take care of themselves – so that he and / or she has the capacity to care for his or her offspring. They do not neglect their health; primarily so that they can provide for their children.
It is the same with a country – the country ensures it is in a healthy position, in order to first and foremost care for its citizens. This is lacking in South Africa.
Apartheid is long gone. Neighbouring countries assisted against an evil, unjust National Party mindset. When the global population stood at only 2 billion in 1927, the immorality act was passed into law. In 1975 when there were just 4 billion people in the world Breyton Breytenbach was sentenced to 9 years for attempting to start and anti-apartheid organisation. In 1987 when there were 5 billion people in the world South Africa introduced a State of Emergency and P W Botha won the election. In 1999 when the global population stood at 6 billion people South Africa had its second democratic election and Thabo Mbeki became President of South Africa.
Since then the global population has grown by another 2 billion people. Please note carefully: the only constant is change! That is what business school heads state!
South Africa does NOT have the resources of employment opportunities, mining rights, accommodation, health and education services for the rest of Africa. The rest of Africa are very welcome to trade with; bring skills in short supply and visit the country legally as paying tourists.
The sooner Ramaphosa, Mbalula and Cachalia realise their sums just don’t add up – and forget about living in the past; the better for all who live in this beautiful country! Look after your citizens and the rest will fall into place. If not, someone else will!

South Africa’s youth unemployment crisis remains severe, with 4.7
million young people (aged 15–34) without work. According to the latest data
from Statistics South
Africa, the specific breakdowns for the youth labour market are as
follows:
- Ages 15–24: The unemployment rate stands at 60.9%.
- Ages 25–34: The unemployment rate sits at 40.6%.
- Overall Youth (Ages 15–34): The expanded youth unemployment rate is
45.8%.
- NEET Rate: More than 4 in 10 young people aged 15–34 are Not in Employment, Education, or Training.
The national unemployment rate across all age groups sits at 32.7%, with
job losses heavily affecting sectors like construction and community services.
In response to this, government initiatives such as the DWYPD Youth Enterprise
Development and conferences on public economics are being held to
better integrate youth into the labour market.
And unfortunately, South Africa’s skills gap leaves millions unemployed
despite job vacancies.

society regarding anti-illegal migrants in South Africa is NOT a political
